Spring Smoothie

This weather gets me craving a light smoothie…something tasty, tart and cleansing. Here is my go-to recipe (although in the above picture, I added some carrots and avocado because I had them, but you can just use the below as your base)!

Ingredients:

* if you don’t have a high speed blender, like a Vitamix (then you should get one here) or make sure to core your apple and pear.

1 apple, chopped
1 pear, chopped
3-4 stalks celery
1 banana
1 head of romaine lettuce
1/2 bunch of spinach
juice from 1 lemon
1 cup of coconut water
1/2 cup of ice

Directions:

Blend to desired consistency. Enjoy through a straw to avoid a green moustache.
